This is England鈥檚 first series in this format since they reached the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup in June. A host of new faces have been included in their squad as they look to the future, with stalwarts such as Jonny Bairstow and Moeen Ali replaced by the likes of Jacob Bethell and Josh Hull, both 20.
The Australians, led by captain Mitch Marsh, sit second in the world rankings, one place above their opponents. Following the conclusion of the T20s, the arch-rivals move onto to a five-match ODI series.
