Episode 2
This week we are joined by a ‘proper football manager’ to talk management, sackings and social media.
The panel, who have never kicked a ball in their puff, are this week joined by a ‘proper football manager’ to talk all things management, sackings and weird social media.
We discuss why we can’t get a pint at a match, as well as how it feels to have put an end to a 43-game unbeaten run. We then chat upsets, broken nets and rowdy school kids in the first round of the Scottish Cup, and get giddy about three young Scottish stars coming of age.
Then we are joined by ex-Hibernian and Rangers player and recently departed Raith Rovers manager Ian Murray who will chat all things promotion-chasing and getting the unexpected heave-ho. He’ll also be picking his ultimate fives team from players he played with (hint, it’s a good team but it’s a rowdy one). Then it’s all things social media as we find out if managers get any say in the club’s weird signing announcement videos.
Finally, it’s time for a look at the statements of the nation as we debate some big bold predictions for this weekend's action and then play a little game called The Banker, as Telfer this week takes on someone who genuinely knows how to beat most of the teams he’s talking about.
In the wee films we unravel the curious case of Elgin City’s ‘title-winning’ team of 1993, who still to this day are fighting for the title they believe is rightly theirs, and we meet a young lad from Ayrshire who taught himself how to coach on YouTube and has his sights set on managing Scotland one day.
