Ace uses his powers to safely bring them down to the ground. He and Luffy put their strength together to fight the Marines, who try to stop them. Then Squardo and his men suddenly appear on Whitebeard鈥檚 paddle ship, and Squardo tells everyone to flee while he and his men stay back and fight the Marines. An angry Whitebeard stops the ship and yells at Squardo, saying it is a shame for a son to die before the father. Then Whitebeard says there is no place for him in the New Era and gives his final order, which is to return safely to the New World without him.
