Cathy Macdonald presents live coverage of the An Comunn Gàidhealach Gold Medal competition for singing from the Royal National Mod in Oban.

The leading men and women from the qualifying competitions earlier in the day will perform in front of the adjudicators in Oban’s Corran Halls to compete for the Gold Medals. This year’s hopefuls will be hoping to emulate the success of Emma MacLeod and Iain Cormack in last year’s final in Paisley.

Alongside Cathy, to offer assessments on the competitors, will be two guests with a keen interest in, and knowledge of, Gaelic music and song. Also featured on the show will be some more successful competitors from earlier in the day, including the winners of the Silver Pendant for adult learners.
