Akon, the Senegalese-American singer-songwriter, record producer, label owner and philanthropist is the Rewind Selector, choosing the tracks that take him back to the dance floors of his youth. An influential figure in the world of music, he rose to prominence in 2004 following the release of his debut single "Locked Up". It preceded the release of his debut studio album Trouble in 2004, which became his commercial breakthrough. Akon has worked with a whole host of stars from Snoop Dogg to Eminem, Whitney Houston to David Guetta, and wrote "The Sweet Escape" with Gwen Stefani. His unique blend of Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, and EDM, has earnt him a massive online following of over 130 million and worldwide sales of 35 million albums. He is also the first artist in history to achieve 1 Billion views on YouTube. Akon is back with a new single 'Beautiful Day'.
