The Straw Hats surface on the mysterious Maubegemour Sea where they run into countless Marine warships. They turn out to be mirages caused by the unexplainable New World weather, and other bizarre weather phenomenon, including gigantic raindrops, hailstones, and an avalanche from the sky, attack the Straw Hats. Later, on a peaceful but hot day, Sanji cooks for the hungry Luffy, Chopper, and Usopp, only to have the food disappear before their eyes. They find out that a little woman is eating all their food, and after a brief scuffle on the deck, she introduces herself as Lily, a Giant who ate the Mini Mini Fruit. She had been waiting in the sea to rescue her father, Panz Fry, a famous pirate cook who is being transported to Impel Down. Upon hearing her story, the Straw Hats offer to help her get him back. Meanwhile, Shuzo of a mysterious group called the Neo Marines is also waiting for the Marine ships to capture and kill Panz Fry.
