Rein realises that the new technology will leave more people unemployed, himself included. He takes an interest in politics, and the newly formed right wing party FrP. At the same time, Komponent has another breakthrough, succeeding in steering a drilling platform by remote control.
Anna realises that Norway needs her and applies for a job at the recently established Oil Fund.
