Usopp and the others on the plateau are captured by the citizens, who release them once they apologetically admit to being confused by the chaos. They turn to their king for help, and Riku, who now trusts Luffy and his friends to overthrow Doflamingo, suggests they wait before making their next move. Admiral Fujitora shows up, and he too declares his trust in Luffy. At the palace, Doflamingo hatefully reveals his past to Luffy and Law. He tells them he was born in a family of Celestial Dragons, but his father gave up the status and moved the family to Dressrosa. Doflamingo, who was 10 at the time, murdered his father and returned to Mariejois hoping to be welcomed back by the World Nobles, only to be bitterly hurt and humiliated by their rejection. He vowed to himself at that moment to destroy everything in the world that they rule over.
