Luffy in Gear 4 overpowers Doflamingo, but Doflamingo claims his String-String Fruit abilities are 鈥渁wakened鈥� and starts a counterattack by turning buildings into strings. To escape the shrinking Birdcage, the citizens of Dressrosa head toward the center of the island but start losing hope. King Riku makes a speech over the Transponder Snail to encourage them. He informs them that only Doflamingo remains standing and that Luffy is about to defeat him.
