Doctors Special

This special show is just what the doctor ordered! Experts Gary Pe and Steph Connell help actors Dex Lee, Kia Pegg, Sarah Moyle and Dido Miles in their hunt for healthy profits.

The prognosis is looking good for an action-packed, medical-themed episode of Bargain Hunt, presented by Natasha Raskin Sharp. In a Doctors special, two teams of actors from ´óÏó´«Ã½ One’s daytime drama series battle it out at an antiques fair in Nottinghamshire. On the red team are Dex Lee, who plays GP practice manager Bear Sylvester, and Kia Pegg, also known as receptionist Scarlett Kiernan. Their opponents on the blue team are Sarah Moyle, who plays Valerie Pitman, and Dido Miles aka Doctor Emma Reid. Will the teams have it all sewn up when it comes to antiques, or will they need emergency assistance from their experts, Stephanie Connell and Gary Pe?

With 60 minutes on the clock and two medical-themed challenges to fulfil, both teams race around an antiques fair at Southwell Racecourse. The reds try to tick off their challenge straight away when they spot a stall selling prosthetic limbs, while the blues think about cooking up a profit with an old pub sign advertising pies.

Natasha has an appointment to view a collection of medical items from days gone by when she speaks to Dr Jenni Hunt from the Old Operating Theatre Museum in London about the innovative instruments used in the Victorian period, including an early anaesthetic mask and a tool for making a hole in a skull. At the auction in Derby, James Lewis is on the rostrum, but will the teams end up with healthy profits?
