Script

Good morning. Here鈥檚 to new beginnings, dear friends. It鈥檚 what came to mind as I took another walk along the Firth of Forth and through Queensferry near Edinburgh.

The changing colours of the leaves, the green fields, and the newly ploughed plots ready for a fresh season. It鈥檚 almost too poetic to be true! I take out my camera鈥攚ow! The scene reminds me of Savannah sunsets against the Baobab in my native the Gambia, but no, this was definitely Scotland.

The word 鈥渉ealing鈥 comes to mind. These walks with nature are healing me, and nature was showing me that it itself heals through renewal in its cycle of life. New beginnings are truly natural and with the right approach, we can open up worlds of opportunities for ourselves and the universe.

I feel a spirit of openness, warmth, light and joy, but also a familiar nervousness lingering in the background.

New things often beckon us鈥攕ometimes by choice, other times unexpectedly. Our natural instinct can be to resist, clinging to the familiar and comfortable. Yet, growth and change are the very foundations of new beginnings. They bring opportunity, perspective, and transformation if we allow ourselves to embrace them.

My Lord, new beginnings are a gift, yet they can stir anxiety. Open our hearts and minds, heal our pains, and grant us the courage to embrace the unknown. May we face these moments with trust, optimism, and joy, stepping into new chapters with open arms.聽 Amin.
