Nami explains that they were attacked by Brulee and the talking flora. Carrot seems to have been trapped in Brulee's mirror, and Chopper has stayed back on his own to let Nami flee from the scene to find Luffy. Luffy and Nami, confused by the mysterious occurrences in the forest, grill Pound, the big man buried in the ground, for some answers. Pound hesitantly reveals Big Mom's Soul-Soul Fruit ability of infusing life into animals and objects, and he also confesses to being a former husband of Big Mom's. Then Cracker, one of Big Mom's sons and the Three Sweets Commanders as well as the Minister of Biscuit, shows up, declaring to take the living breath out of Luffy and his friends.
