Oswestry 28
The reds and blues shop for bargains in Oswestry, and Roo learns about the history of the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod.
Since 1947, the International Musical Eisteddfod in Llangollen has hosted more than 400,000 competitors from all over the world. In this show, Roo Irvine discovers the popularity of the artistic competition and finds out how some very well-known names have all left their mark on the event. Meanwhile, the red and blue teams are hoping to upstage each other as they hit the stalls at Oswestry Showground on the border between England and Wales.
Joining experts Danny Sebastian and Colin Young are mother-and-daughter duo Louise and Lucy and bakers Hobie and Nicki. Straight away, the reds spot a set of barber’s chairs, which they hope to buy for a snip of the asking price. Across the fair, Hobie gambles on whether a pair of ornamental lions will make a 'purr-fect' purchase. In Wrexham, auctioneer Matthew Tong rallies a roomful of bidders, but will it be profit or loss for today’s teams?
