Bryn Terfel in Belshazzar鈥檚 Feast
The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir & Orchestra perform Walton's Belshazzar's Feast, Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto and Nautilus by Anna Meredith with conductor Adam Hickox
In October 1931, William Walton took a huge choir and a giant orchestra, added a couple of brass bands, and blasted British music sky-high. Belshazzar鈥檚 Feast is big, brassy, and utterly outrageous 鈥� now add the one and only Sir Bryn Terfel, and you鈥檝e got a seriously impressive celebration of the human voice. Anna Meredith鈥檚 Nautilus and Mendelssohn's gorgeous Violin Concerto 鈥� with international violin sensation Ning Feng returning as soloist 鈥� are the icing on the cake.
