This episode travels to Tunbridge Wells to investigate the shocking murder of Terry Edmonds. Seventeen-year-old Terry travelled to Tunbridge to visit friends when she disappeared. But 12 days later, her body was discovered, stuffed into a suitcase and abandoned in a multi-storey car park. A blood pattern analyst, Jo Millington, was called on by police to help the investigation. Complex DNA results led to two hung juries. When the time comes for a third trial, Jo is determined to do all she can to counter the suspect鈥檚 defence and discover if a blood stain on their clothing was made at the time of the murder or afterwards.

In November 2020, in Horley, the body of 62-year-old Nigel Chapman is discovered in his bedroom, stabbed to death. Police are sure the murderer had attempted to clean up the crime scene, and a search of a nearby river uncovers blood-stained clothing concealed in a bin bag.
