In this episode, the shocking murder of Terry Edmonds is investigated. Seventeen-year-old Terry travelled to Tunbridge to visit friends when she disappeared. But 12 days later, her body was discovered, stuffed into a suitcase and abandoned in a multi-storey car park. A blood pattern analyst, Jo Millington, was called on by police to help the investigation. Complex DNA results led to two hung juries. When the time came for a third trial, Jo was determined to do all she could to counter the suspect鈥檚 defence and discover if a blood stain on their clothing was made at the time of the murder or afterwards.

Through many experiments, Jo was able to place the suspect at the crime scene close to the time of the murder. The killer was convicted at the third trial and sentenced to life in prison. With insightful interviews from Jo Millington and retired chief superintendent Paul Dockley.

In November 2020, in Horley, the body of 62-year-old Nigel Chapman was discovered in his bedroom, stabbed to death. Police were sure the murderer had attempted to clean up the crime scene, and a search of a nearby river uncovered blood-stained clothing concealed in a bin bag. Detectives reached out to forensic search specialist Peter Faulding to look for items missing from Nigel鈥檚 home and anything else that may be related to the crime. Peter uncovered crucial evidence that helped police convict Nigel鈥檚 friend Jennifer Lloyd of the murder.
