Dame Judi Dench at the ´óÏó´«Ã½

To celebrate her 90th birthday, the career of a true national treasure, even though she hates that phrase, told through Dame Judi’s ´óÏó´«Ã½ interviews, showing her world class talent

As we celebrate her 90th birthday, the career and life story of one of our greatest stars and personalities, a true National Treasure (even though she hates that phrase), Dame Judi Dench, encompassing unparalleled excellence on stage and screen.

All told through her ´óÏó´«Ã½ radio and television interviews, from one of her early roles in Cabaret through Macbeth, A Fine Romance, As Time Goes By, Iris, Shakespeare in Love, Anthony and Cleopatra, Mrs. Brown, Cranford, the James Bond films and Belfast to A Little Night Music.

Dame Judi shares wonderful anecdotes, stories of ‘corpsing’ and playing practical jokes with Zoe Ball, Kirsty Young, Sue Lawley, Sir Terry Wogan, Sir Michael Parkinson, John Wilson, Richard Baker, Steve Wright, Tim Smith, Graham Norton, Alan Titchmarsh, Sir Richard Eyre, Mark Lamarr, Michael Ball and Mark Lawson on many ´óÏó´«Ã½ radio and television programmes.

The highlights include playing M in Bond but being, in her own words, unable to even operate a bicycle pump, performing Shakespeare for Arnold Schwarzenegger, almost laughing in a death scene because of Anthony Hopkins, improvising in a nursery school play and remembering her late, much loved husband Michael Williams.
