Yamato gives Ace his Vivre Card, and they promise to meet again, but their promise is never fulfilled due to Ace鈥檚 death in the Paramount War. Back in present day, Yamato tells Momonosuke about what he read in Oden鈥檚 journal in which he鈥檇 written about the strong pirates who鈥檇 come to Wano in the future to take out Kaido. On top of the Skull Dome, Luffy joins Zoro, Kid, and Killer and confronts Kaido and Big Mom. Luffy finds Kin鈥檈mon and the other Akazayas who were attacked by Kaido. Luffy renews his promise to Kin鈥檈mon that he鈥檒l protect Wano and has Law use his ability to transfer the wounded samurais out of harm鈥檚 way. Luffy activates Gear 3 and attacks Kaido, who, much to his dismay, gets knocked down.
