Yamato was imprisoned in a cave by Kaido when he started calling himself Oden. In the cave, Yamato met Shimotsuki Ushimaru, Fugetsu Omusubi, and Uzuki Tempura, Wano鈥檚 daimyos who rebelled against Kaido after Oden鈥檚 execution. The samurais, who decided to entrust the future of Wano to Yamato, broke out of the cave to confront Kaido and ensured Yamato鈥檚 survival.
