Christmas tree recycling, frozen pipes, and big changes for car ownership as car tax increases

It's time to get the Christmas tree down, and if you have a real one, then the Foyle Hospice has a recycling scheme, plus frozen pipes and big changes for car ownership.

Surely it's time to get that Christmas tree down? if you have a real tree and don't want it lying in your back garden for the next six months, check out the Foyle Hospice's Christmas tree recycling scheme. Daire has a dilemma as she wants to keep her tree up for Nollaig na mBan, Women鈥檚 Christmas, on the 6th January. Anyway it's a good cause, for the Hospice.
The temperature has dropped the past few days and we鈥檝e more cold weather in store but one thing Daire hasn't actually given much thought to is frozen pipes. A frozen and burst pipe can cause so much damage to your home so she was joined by Maynard Cousley, Water Supply Senior Manager. from NI water, and talked lagging. Neil Young IS doing Glastonbury after all, so we did a bit of air guitar along to "Rockin in the Free World" and motoring journalist Maria McCarthy tried to give us the For Dummies Guide to car tax. She's good!
