Candi Staton joins Cerys to share her favourite blues tracks and memories. Candi might be best known for her vocals on The Source's You Got The Love and for her disco hit Young Hearts Run Free, but in the 1970s, she toured with Blues legend B.B King and has also supported Bobby Blue Band and Ray Charles.
This year, Candi will turn 85, release her 32nd album Back to My Roots and receive an International Lifetime Achievement Award at the UK Americana Music Awards. Her new album features blues tracks influenced by Bonnie Raitt and Larry McCrary as well as two duets with her older sister Maggie Staton Peebles.
