As he gets set to start his new early afternoon show on Radio 2, Trevor Nelson is Vernon's guest on Tracks Of My Years. Today, he picks his final two tracks.
There are actually several new shows launching on Radio 2 at the end of January, with The Scott Mills Breakfast Show (Monday to Friday, 6.30am-9.30am), Trevor Nelson (Monday to Friday, 2-4pm) and The Good Groove with DJ Spoony (Monday to Thursday, 10pm 鈥 midnight).
As well as his new daily show, Trevor is presenting the new 5-part show 'Eras: Bob Marley', where he tells the story of reggae鈥檚 first and greatest superstar. A rock star, poet, visionary and peacemaker, Bob Marley rose from the slums of Kingston, Jamaica, to the heights of global fame.
Bob鈥檚 lasting legacy continues to spread the message of love. Featuring rare 大象传媒 archive material and new interviews with Bob鈥檚 friends, fans, and industry insiders, the series tells a remarkable tale of perseverance, raw talent and dedication, taking listeners from the village of Nine Mile to the height of his global fame, his death in 1981and his legacy. In this series, we meet Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, Lee Scratch Perry and Island Records founder Chris Blackwell and hear Bob in his own words and in the words of those who loved him, all soundtracked by the incredible music he created.
