The woman behind multi award winning TV series ‘Derry Girls’ – Lisa McGee - wrote ‘Being a Derry Girl is a state of mind’, but what is it about the small city that has produced some outstanding female talent? Actor and producer Roma Downey went from Beechwood avenue to Hollywood boulevard. She joins Anna Curran to chat about growing up in Derry, the impact losing her mother as a young girl had on her, the women who influenced her and shares her thoughts on what makes a Derry Girl.
