The eclectic classical mix

Take time out with a 30-minute soundscape of classical favourites.

Today's Classical Mixtape begins and ends with the wonderful artistry of two musicians from other parts of the world who made London their home, Alfred Brendel and Willard White. We hear orchestral music by Thea Musgrave and Mozart, and Pekka Kuusisto plays a serenade for violin by Sibelius. The penultimate work is the rich choral sound of Schubert's Tantum Ergo (D962).
