Did I Hear 437 Pairs of Shoes?

Episode 3 of 6

Stacey helps a family of five to reduce their record-breaking clothes collection, including 437 pairs of shoes!

The team help to transform the home, and lives, of the Aphabhai-Heers - a family of five living in chaos in Coventry. Stacey challenges the family to let go of half their belongings, paving the way for a beautifully reorganised and functional space.

With the team's help, assisted by Stacey鈥檚 husband Joe Swash, the family start packing all their possessions into boxes. Every single item is stripped from the house, revealing how much space there is under their belongings. During the process, the team gets to know the family behind the clutter - Sheeny bought the house when she was a teenage mum to her eldest daughter, 22-year-old Milly, and over the years filled it with the things she loves. Sheeny has since met partner Sohan, and together they have two children, nine-year-old Leila and four-year-old Ethan, but with Milly recently returning after university, the clutter is threatening the harmony of the home, and it鈥檚 time for a change.

Once packed, the family鈥檚 possessions are displayed in a vast warehouse鈥攁n awe-inspiring art installation of their lives, including a record-breaking 6,568 items of clothing. During the decluttering process, Sheeny struggles to part with her belongings but faces up to the fact she has to change her bad habits to avoid passing them down to her children and to make sure the clutter doesn't build up again. Meanwhile, Sohan has to make difficult decisions over his beloved television in the bedroom - a bone of contention in their relationship.

Once the most treasured items are selected, Stacey and the team face the challenge of turning the house into the perfect home for the Aphabhai-Heers. Carpenter Rob breathes new life into the home, with some ingenious carpentry for Milly and Sheeny鈥檚 home offices, and transforms the living room into a multifunctional space for both the adults and children. Outside, it鈥檚 a team effort to create a magical pergola for Sheeny and Sohan鈥檚 dream wedding. Stacey ropes in eldest son Zachary as a pair of extra hands, and Iwan deep-cleans the house.

It鈥檚 a race against time as the team works tirelessly to transform the house into a practical and stylish home, ready for the family鈥檚 return. Will Stacey and her team鈥檚 efforts to declutter, organise and upcycle provide the fresh start the Aphabhai-Heers have been dreaming of?
