Why is the conflict in Sri Lanka coming to a head now, after 25 years of war?
In Sri Lanka this week, tens of thousands of people have escaped from the conflict zone in the North East where rebels from the Tamil Tigers or LTTE are facing bombardment by government forces. The fighting, and its impact on civilians has sparked international concern and prompted calls for a ceasefire, as Jill McGivering reports.
