Outsized amphibious guinea-pigs are the unlikely heroes of this film. Officially known as the Capybara these hippo-like creatures live in the cattle ranch country of Venezuela's Wild West. The film features the adventures of a swamp hog family of several females and their accident-prone offspring. As their swamp slowly dries to desert, the swamp hogs reveal an unexpectedly resourceful side to their character.
