Iran
As the Iranian Elections approach we take a look at the challenges of making music in modern Iran. We speak to various young music groups such as 127 who have had their rehearsal space destroyed by the authorities and are now spread out across the world, we hear from Font who spent 21 days in jail for playing a gig in a garden and we ask what young musicians hope the forth-coming elections will bring for them as artists.

Futurism
The Strand reports on a new exhibition tracing the rise of Italy's Futurist movement which began 100 years ago this year. Its celebration of speed, technology and all things modern went to make a huge impact on 20th century art.

Tracey Emin
The Strand hears from the British artist Tracey Emin who first made a name for herself as one of the YBAs - or young british artists - who took the London art scene by storm almost 20 years ago. Since she has become internationally famous or even infamous for the autobiographical nature of her work that explores sex, depression, abortion, sex, bereavement, alcoholism and sex.

Ulysses
A new book 'Ulysses and Us' by Professor Declan Kiberd tries to reclaim this vast, complex and seminal book from the world of academia and bring it back to the ordinary reader who, it turns out, James Joyce always wrote his book for. Can The Strand get you to read Ulysses?!
