Lara Foot Newton
The Strand talks to the South African playwright and director Lara Foot Newton about her latest multi award winning play Karoo Moose. The play tells the story of a young woman who kills a moose wandering around her village and how she uses its strength to overcome the men who gang raped her.
Kara Moose is playing at the Tricycle Theatre in London until 11th July.
1989 German Films
Twenty years since the fall of the Berlin Wall the Berlin Film Museum opens an exhibit of previously unseen photographs and film footage from the East German side of the wall, much of it shot by ordinary citizens. Damien McGuinness reports.
