A jackal family in India. The jackal pups play and the parents look out for danger. An Indian wolf and a sloth bear venture near the den, much to the alarm of the jackal parents. The narrator describes the features of the Indian wolf, how sloth bears break into termite mounds and what Kipling wote about wolves, bears and jackals in The Jungle Book. Eventually the parent jackals chase off the bear - including biting it on the bottom!
