Parasite plant
George McGavin spots one of the tiniest flowers in the world hidden on the forest floor.
As a parasitic plant, Balanophora doesn't have chlorophyll so gets all its nutrients and water from the host tree by means of a highly modified root system.
George is part of an international team of scientists, cavers and wildlife filmmakers who ventured deep into the forests of New Guinea to search for the rare and endangered creatures that live there.
