Milogrossamente
Artist Kit Williams, best known for his pictorial storybook Masquerade, talks about his work 'Milogrossamente'.
One of the problems facing galleries who want to show Kit's work is that the paintings aren't passive. His art needs to be manipulated, it invites people to touch it, turn it and explore the mechanics of each piece. Some are like elaborate magic tricks and Milogrossamente is a case in point.
Suggested by a story about Goya painting a secret nude portrait, the trick isn't just in the painting, it's also in the title - as Kit explains with great relish.
