Peter Levy asks "should we go green?" and talks to Pauline Prescott

Peter has the day's big stories and big guests including John Prescott's wife Pauline.

A first for the programme - as we're on 大象传媒 Lincolnshire and 大象传媒 Radio Humberside every day now.
In this edition Pauline Prescott talks about her new book "Smile Though Your Heart is Breaking"..... Mrs Prescott pulls no punches in the book - which talks about her life with husband John Prescott....... and in frank terms about his affair and how she'll never forgive him.....
Councillors in Lincoln have attacked efforts to tackle climate change - calling them a "waste of resources". Conservative Moorland councillor Oliver Peeke says that in years to come, people will look back at our eco-agenda as an "industry created just to make money". Mr Peeke has also questions whether people in Lincolnshire can really make a difference to global warming. I talk to Councillor Peeke about this one - and also get the views of Lincoln Friends of the Earth..... Can we REALLY make a difference by switching our lights off?
What happens when a school goes into special measures? An East Riding Primary School has been put into special measures - for failing to give pupils an acceptable standard of education. We'll talk about how a school can recover from such a report.....
Dog owners will have to take a "competence test" as part of a Government crackdown on dangerous dogs. The report compares the test to a driving theory exam - so is the Government "barking up the wrong tree" with this one? I'm speaking to the Dog's Trust for their views - and yours are welcome too......
Also one of Westminster's wittiest and most irreverent bloggers and campaigners - MP Paul Flynn tells the whole truth of the vanities, triumphs and excesses of the political shark pool in his new book. "The Unusual Suspect" is published today - and in it Paul talks about the highs and lows of his personal life, and his political career as one of Labour's most colourful MPs.
Finally a 大象传媒 investigation has confirmed that councils in this area expect to make significant cost savings over the next three to five years. We sent a survey to all of our local authorities - as part of the 大象传媒 "Facing the Cuts" campaign - and the results show that although the recession may be officially over - the pain for our local councils is only just beginning. Today I'm speaking to the MP for Brigg and Goole Ian Cawsey on the tough times ahead for our local councils.....
