Size matters
The two smallest pups of the Banded Brothers family are becoming a problem. The difference in age between Mungo and Mara and their older cousins has been picked up on by some of the young adults in the group. Just when it seems Mungo is finally managing to keep up with the rest of the family, some of them turn on him, in a vicious and unprovoked attack. Not even the scientists studying this group are sure of the reasons behind this unprovoked attack. Mongooses have been known to kill pups of rival gangs, so perhaps it is Mungo's small size that's confusing the young adults. Whatever the reason, Mungo has been left in a bad way, his front leg is injured badly and he will have to work even harder to stick with his family to stay alive with this handicap.
