Music from the golden age of rock'n'roll, soul, jazz, blues and swing with Henry Ayrton. This week a musical theme of "falling", R & B hits from the second half of 1955 and some "Merseybeat" roots.
This week, the theme of "falling" with Roy Orbison, Connie Francis, Hank Locklin and Sam & Dave among those plummeting into song.
The R&B No. 1 Hits: a monthly series has reached the second half of 1955 when Fats Domino & The Platters dominated, but Chuck Berry's debut, "Maybelline", was the biggest hit.
"Merseybeatroots" - the original versions of some mid-1960s hits by The Merseybeats and their reincarnation as The Merseys.
A selection of the sounds of 1962, featuring Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, Marty Robbins and a group you've probably never heard of!
