A special election debate with candidates from Liverpool Wavertree.

The first in a series of programmes which will look at various constituencies in the 大象传媒 Radio Merseyside broadcast area.

In this show we will be hearing from candidates in the Liverpool Wavertree area.

In 1997, Labour's Jane Kennedy won with a 19,701 majority and has represented the seat since.

She won by a majority of 5,173 in 2005, after an 11.8% swing to the Liberal Democrats. However she is standing down at this election and the Liberal Democrats say it's one of their target seats.

Roger Phillips will be joined by Labour's Luciana Berger, Liberal Democrat Colin Eldridge, Conservative Andrew Garnett and the Green Party's Rebecca Lawson.
