Education cuts - future of Shropshire schools

Shropshire Council launch a public consultation as they look to save 脗拢1m from their schools budget.
Also Jim wants to know what you think of the new Olympic mascots Wenlock and Mandeville.

Shropshire Council is consulting on a new 'vision' for its schools. It replaces an earlier plan which was scrapped after an outcry over proposals to close more than 20 primary schools.

But what does the future hold this time? Shropshire spends hundreds of thousands of pounds more than its government grant for schools. Can savings be made by changing the way schools are run - sharing headteachers and expertise, for example - or will closures soon be back on the cards.

Jim talks to Cllr Cecilia Motley, the cabinet member responsible for the new plan, and Jack Cornall who represents the county's headteachers.
