Badgers have a bad reputation on Springwatch for not turning up or for ruining equipment, so Gordon Buchanan visits a place in Essex where he's been told he'll see them easily. He meets Don, who has been walking the woods near his Essex home and putting out titbits for the badgers for 50 years. Sure enough, an infra-red camera soon reveals several badgers foraging in the woods. One is even bold enough to take food from Don's hand. Gordon is delighted to get his first view of these exotic UK animals.
