Gordon Buchanan is heading over to the south side of the island, to check out a story about some animal behaviour, apparently unique to Rum. Apparently the crows on Rum have developed a taste for sea food and at low tide they come and pick up the shells, fly up into the air and drop them from a great height to smash them on the rocks. They then come and feed on them. But he has to wait for a low tide and the crows to arrive - and to chase off an intruding dog. The hooded crows finally turn up, and search shellfish before flying up and dropping the shells on the rocks. You can really see why crows are one of Scotland's cleverest birds.
