Little nipper
The great green bush cricket is the biggest cricket in Britain, but it is more commonly seen than heard. They eat just about anything and when Bill picks a female up she bites him several times, rather enthusiastically. He shows the resulting wound to the camera. Bush crickets die off in the autumn when the frost gets too cold and their eggs will hatch out in spring.
