Mourning Alex Higgins and the row over dog mess
After losing Alex Higgins - where are our sporting characters? Also, the amount of dog mess is going up - so do dog owners act responsibly?
Sport's lost one it's most colourful and flamboyant characters in Alex Higgins. At the same time, there's been controversy over the the apparent 'team-work' by Ferarri - sucking the excitment and drama from the Grand Prix.
So, is modern sport all about the money - and has that driven out the entertainment? Do we still have characters like Higgins to watch - or can't the big money boys cope with flawed geniuses any more?
Following on from talk about dog fouling this morning, we ask: Do dog owners take enough responsibility for their pets? One Suffolk woman says she's fed up with lazy owners leaving their dog's mess - while the Kennel Club defends owners.
We hear from the sister of a man left with serious head injuries after a hit and run - and talk to a local charity about the effect it has not only on the victim, but everyone who knows them.
And we'll be hearing about a group that gives women who speak English as a second language a chance to practice it. So why do we find it so difficult to use a foreign language, even though we speak a bit of it? Have you been abroad and not had the courage to use your schoolboy French or German? Or have you tried it and been answered in that language - and not been able to understand?
