Amy Tomlin set up a charity for autistic children after the death of her grandmother whom the charity is named after. THE JOAN TOMBLIN AUTISTIC CHARITY. They need to raise 拢1000 in order to obtain a registered charity number. Find out how you can help.
Over the coming weeks, the Nene Valley Astronomical Society is hosting a series of evenings to offer the public the chance to find out a little more about astronomy and space in a series of open events.
The first event is being held on Monday 4th October at the Friends Meeting House, St.John Street in Wellingborough at 8pm and will feature an introductory presentation on our 'Solar System'. Featuring imagery from the latest space missions as well as the Hubble Space Telescope, the meeting will look at our neighbouring planets, asteroids and comets.

Local GP Tony Hillier gives us his reaction to his mile long swim at Salford Quays in Manchester on Sunday. He was raising money for the charity CRY for very personal reasons.
