Liberty Days Festival in Saintfield
The York Island Arts & Heritage Association have produced a new play, ‘Who dares to speak?’ set in and around Saintfield in the days before and after the 1798 Battle.
The play was written by Vivien Hewitt and is being put on as part of the Liberty Days Festival in Saintfield.
Liam Logan chats with Vivien who is not only the producer and director of the play but also the author. She talks about the message that she wants to portray through the play and the use of the Ulster-Scots tongue. (Broadcast: 10 Sep 2006)
