Kings Cliffe nuclear waste public inquiry begins
A public inquiry into the dumping of low level nuclear waste at Kings Cliffe near Oundle begins today. Owners Augean are appealing the county council's decision to refuse their application.
It's been a controversial subject - whether low level nuclear waste should be dumped at a site near the village of Kings Cliffe near Oundle.
Earlier this year the county council turned down an application from its owners Augean for the site to be used for low level radio active waste too.
It's set to rumble on for another few weeks yet as today sees the start of the public inquiry.
