Creating the 1890 house
John Gooch is the production buyer for the series. He is tasked with making the series look authentic.
He is given a long list of objects and furniture to find as well as all the farming equipment and the mining tools used by the men in the show.
John has to hunt around in reclamation yards, people鈥檚 houses and even village dumps and enjoys learning the history of each object.
