Oxfordshire County Council cuts will hit hard in 2011

Council Cuts - The County Council has been warning that the impending cuts are likely to be tougher next year than originally thought, although possibly less in total over the 5 years. We speak to leader of the council, Keith Mitchell.

Post Office - Plans to allow the PO to do new things in order for it to survive. You will be able to do your banking, open longer and offer information for job seekers. But is it enough to draw us back in?

Overcrowded Trains - A group of MPs says rail passengers in England and Wales face "substantial increases" in overcrowding. The Public Accounts Committee reports that journeys for commuters will get "ever more intolerable". It highlights figures from the Department for Transport, which suggest that targets for increasing the number of passenger places on trains by March 2014 will be missed.

Mercers Money - David Cameron's trade visit to China has been described as "fruitful" by the Chinese Premier. The Prime Minister's heading up a delegation on what he's called a "vitally important trade mission."

Otmoor Award - The RSPB reserve has won for it's work re creating wetland habitats at the Otmoor Reserve.

Living Longer - We'll find out about the work of the Order of St John Care Trust and it's hundreds of volunteers working with the elderly.
