Little Hen Rescue Revisited
Remember helping us rehome 4,000 battery hens? Well the Little Hen Rescue charity is running short of money and has more hens in need of adoption.
And Tesco comes to Leiston.
大象传媒 Radio Suffolk listeners helped us rehome 4,000 battery hens around 18 months ago. Now the charity involved is facing an uncertain future. The Little Hen Rescue has just taken in around 1,000 hens in the last week and the cost of feeding them all is causing funding problems. We hear from Jo Eglen who runs the charity and a listener who adopted one of the original hens lets us know how she's getting on.
Tesco has announced it wants to come to Leiston. It's promising to bring more than 200 jobs to the town but does the area need another supermarket?
And as part of the 大象传媒's Living Longer campaign we hear some of the benefits of life after work.
This programme is a repeat. Please listen carefully as our text and phone lines may have closed and you may still be charged. Enjoy the show!
