Rarely has an issue inflamed such bitter passions than the debate over whether to ban hunting with hounds. Thousands of people from the eastern region took part in protests while Conservative candidates promised to fight for the repeal as soon as they got back into power. As the new hunting season gets underway there is no sign of the promised free vote and we have been told it is not likely to happen until 2012 at the earliest. Andrew Sinclair talked to James Buckle , Joint Master of the Essex and Suffolk Hunt and Douglas Batchelor from the League Against Cruel Sports.
