We hear about the movement of the Scots-Irish down from the Appalachian Mountains, into the Trans-Appalachian West. A large proportion of people in the ‘Sun Belt’ use a Scots-Irish influenced dialect, including many Country singers. (Broadcast: 13/10/1986)
