The Politics Show East - Local Enterprise Partnerships
Every application for a Local Enterprise Partnership has to be approved by the Department of Communities and Local Government, headed by the Secretary of State, Eric Pickles. LEPs are replacing Regional Development Agencies. Eleanor Zaniewicka put it to Mr Pickles that LEPs are an admission that the work of RDAs needs to be done.
