MEP faces backlash over gay therapy tweet
Roger Helmer has been criticised by gay rights groups for a posting this on Twitter: "why is it ok for a surgeon to perform a sex-change operation, but not ok for a psychiatrist to try to 'turn' a consenting homosexual?"
He has defended his actions.
